The Swedish Police Authority is Sweden's largest authority with approximately 40,000 employees across the country. With us, you have the opportunity to contribute to the Police's mission – to increase safety and reduce crime in society. We are now looking for a Solution Architect for the Financial Systems group, part of the National Administrative Systems section, focusing on modern IT solutions for the Police Authority's internal operations.
About the workplace
The main task of the IT department is to provide IT services to the entire Police Authority. The IT department develops and modernizes police IT, and the authority invests heavily in strengthening the department with new specialist skills and the latest technology for the benefit of citizens and employees in police operations.
The Financial Systems group is responsible for several IT services such as the police's financial, procurement, and cash systems. We consist of 16 people working in open office environments centrally located in Kungsholmen, Stockholm, and in Linköping. The group includes project leaders, technical product specialists, technology specialists, and test leaders. The group works closely with the Police Authority's internal operations, primarily within NOA, Finance, HR, and the IT department.
You will be based in Stockholm, and there is an opportunity to work from home up to two days a week. As a government employee at the Police Authority, you will be offered competitive benefits regarding pension, parental pay, wellness, etc.
Job Responsibilities
As a Solution Architect with us, you will be part of a team that has overall responsibility for both new development and maintenance of our products. You will be part of a team that creates customized solutions and functions within Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations and Supply Chain. We deliver user-centered and smart solutions aimed at various user groups within police operations. We work closely with the operations in short iterations to quickly and smoothly deliver what provides the most benefit for our ability to prevent and combat criminal activities.
You will be part of a team implementing a very important change for the Police Authority – transitioning to the Microsoft Dynamics 365 business system. The aim is to create better conditions for police operations through a more cohesive and efficient operational support. In addition to financial management, the new business system will streamline the authority's procurement operations and inventory management of equipment.
Main Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the team, product owners, and operations to translate needs into technical solutions
- Design and document solutions for complex systems
- Ensure that technical solutions are robust, secure, and upgradeable
- Lead technical workshops and contribute to strategic decisions
- Stay updated on roadmaps for Microsoft Dynamics 365, new technologies, and trends
- Act as a technical advisor and support in architecture and development issues
- Document and communicate solution architecture to both technical and non-technical roles
Qualifications
This is an opportunity for you who have:
- Relevant academic education in system development or equivalent orientation, or equivalent acquired experience that the Police Authority assesses as equivalent
- Several years of experience working as a solution architect that the Police Authority deems relevant for the position
- Good ability to express yourself verbally and in writing in Swedish and English
The position requires Swedish citizenship.
We consider it meritorious if you also have:
- Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 recently
- Practical experience in managing and upgrading Dynamics 365
- Experience in implementing or transitioning business systems, preferably in complex organizations
- Experience working with ISV solutions
- Experience in full-stack development
- Experience in finance, procurement, and inventory management
- Experience working in security-classified operations.
- Experience in the public sector.
The following competencies are also meritorious; you do not need to have expertise in everything, as you will have the opportunity to develop with us on-site.
